Both
of the Barrettes
above are made with
cabochon stones,
seed beads in a
combination
technique of
couching and peyote
stitch. Each
barrette is created
on paper using the
stones to guide the
process. Then the
pattern is
transferred to
muslin and the work
begins. The
barrette is finished
by mounting it on
leather and mounting
it to a french clip
style
barrette.

The "Willingness" Key-Commissioned 1997
This "key" was designed by the person who commissioned the work. It is made entirely of delica beads in an embroidery technique. The design is a rainbow key with a gold "W" in the center.
